The Story Behind "Yuva"

The name Yuva has a special story behind it. Around 12-15 years ago, a group of 5-10 students from Gujarat College’s B.Sc. first-year batch performed on stage under the name Yuva Group for the first time. Their performance received overwhelming love, with standing ovations and chants for an encore. This first choreography was led by Maulik Goswami, and due to the incredible audience response, Yuva Group became a sensation, performing for three consecutive years at college festivals.

While most of his friends pursued careers in M.Sc., PhD, Pharmacy, and other science streams, Maulik discovered his true passion—Dance. After completing his B.Sc. in Chemistry, his real chemistry was only with dance.

The Journey of Yuva Dance Studio

Maulik started Yuva Dance classes in Satellite and Bopal, Ahmedabad, but initially, the classes didn’t sustain for long. Realizing his knowledge was limited, he began exploring and learning from the best:

• Trained in Contemporary Dance for 6+ months under Terrence Lewis’s assistant.

• Learned Salsa & Bachata from international choreographers.

• Trained in Bharatanatyam for 3 years under Guru Shri Ananth Menon at the Mudra School of Indian Classical Dance.

With this deep foundation, he successfully ran dance classes in Ghatlodia & Shayona City for 5 years, teaching over 200+ students annually in Garba workshops.

A Passion for Acting

Alongside dance, Maulik’s passion for acting led him to:

• Complete a certified drama course at Darpana Academy of Performing Arts, owned by Mallika Sarabhai.

• Perform in 100+ Gujarati stage shows across Gujarat.

• Work on experimental and commercial dramas, winning multiple awards with co-actor Bhargav Trivedi.

His dream of being on the big screen took him to Mumbai, where he:

• Trained in camera acting techniques under Kurush Deboo (Munna Bhai MBBS fame).

• Gave 500+ auditions, never backing down.

• Made his debut with a small role in the Hindi TV serial "Dil To Happy Hai Ji."

Returning to Ahmedabad, he embraced the rising Gujarati film industry, acting in:

• Gujarati Movie "Kem Chho" as the lead actress’s brother.

• Colors Gujarati TV Serial "Maru Man Mohi Gayu", completing 300+ episodes.

After this fast-paced professional journey, Maulik decided to take a break to focus on something even more fulfilling—teaching dance.

The Growth of Yuva Dance Studio

During this break, Maulik started small dance sessions in Godrej Garden City with just 4-5 students. Soon, his former students from Ghatlodia—Dipti, Shrey, and Jolly—joined as assistants, and something magical happened.

💃 The student count started growing rapidly.
📍 Yuva Dance Studio moved to a bigger space on the 1st floor.
💪 Mihir Suthar joined the team, bringing dedication and strong work ethics.
📍 As the student base grew further, the studio expanded to the 2nd floor.
🔥 Dhruvi Patel became an integral part of Yuva Dance, adding passion and commitment.

Today, Maulik Goswami, Mihir Suthar, and Dhruvi Patel are working together to build Yuva Dance Studio into a major dance brand.
